We recently took a trip to Great Wolf Lodge in Fitchburg, MA and are already thinking about planning our next adventure to visit. We all had a blast and the amount of activities to do while you are visiting is endless. When I originally thought of planning a trip to Great Wolf Lodge I imagined we would be spending most of our time at the water park, but that was far from true! Check out all of things to do while you are visiting!
The waterpark at Great Wolf New England has two differententrances. One side is geared more towards the little ones with Fort Mackenzie. This area is a huge water tree house filled with interactive water toys and agigantic bucket that will be sure to get you wet!
This side also features a Crooked creek to relax and floatalong the lazy river and a activity pool to swim, splash and play withbasketball, floats and fun!
Once you make way to the other side of the lodge you will head to Cub Paw Pool. This was Colton’s favorite area, and he spent a ton of time playing on the water jet ski. The zero-depth entry makes it the perfect area for toddlers. The Cub Paw Pool offers tiny kiddie slides and rainbow colored jet skis with water cannons on your way to the 18-inch deep end.
Slap Tail Pond is the wave pool area that you can catch a wave and splash and play as the swells sweep in from the five-foot deep end to the zero-depth-entry shallows. The rollers flow in every five minutes to lift and transport you on the surge of the ocean’s tide. Madison had a blast jumping over the waves and had us all belly laughing.
We were given Pup Passes for each kiddo and I definitely recommendadding these on to your stay.

Great Wolf offers a Paw Pass & a Wolf Pass as well butthe Pup Pass was perfect for our kiddos, being 18 months and 5 years old. Thisadded onto the fun activities that we had planned and Great Wolf New England isthe first Great Wolf Lodge to had a Build-A-Bear!
There will be plenty of character appearances throughoutyour stay along with yoga, balloon animal making, crafts, dance parties andstory time. Make sure to get to the main area early to get a spot for storytime, as this is a huge hit.
Howlin’ Timbers Play Park is the perfect place to go after you’re done swimming. In this area you will find Moon Mini Golf, Ten Paw Alley bowling, the Frog Hopper amusement ride and the Howlers Peak Ropes course. Howlin’ Timbers Play Park offers the best of Great Wolf Lodge on dry land. The Spirit Island Snack Shop will make sure you don’t get too hungry on your way and parents you can stop for a beer at the new brewery.
What should you pack?
Rooms at Great Wolf Lodge have enough space to store your bags and belongings and there is a store downstairs in case you forget anything. I always tend to over pack, and in this case it’s never a bad idea.
Bathing Suits – We brought a few to have different options and so we weren’t using a wet bathing suit.
Clothing for throughout the day when you are not at thewater park.
Underwear, Socks, essentials, & toiletries -The rooms do have a hair dryer and basic soaps & shampoos.
Flip Flops for the water park.
Sneakers – If you plan to go to the ropes course, this is mandatory to have closed toe shoes.
Pajamas
Pack N Play – Great Wolf does supply these, but we brought our own.
Beach Towels – We didn’t bring beach towels and used the ones you are able to borrow, but you are not able to bring these to your room.
A large tote bag to carry your items with you to the pool.
Goggles for swimming
Snacks & Drinks – We brought a ton of snacks so we weren’t spending as much down in the restaurants
A wet bag to bring wet bathing suits home with you
Each Great Wolf Lodge location is different so some of theitems above that were offered at Great Wolf New England may not be available atyour local location. Hope you enjoy your stay!
I received a complimentary stay in exchange for my honestreview, as always the opinions above are 100% my own.
