The most wonderful time of the year has arrived! Growing up I always loved the holidays, and all of the traditions that came with it but little did I know that celebrating the holidays with children of your own is a whole different level of joy. Watching your children light up when seeing Santa for the first time or watching them decorate the Christmas tree is so special.
December has just arrived upon us and already we have put up and decorated our Christmas tree, went to LL Bean’s festival of lights and got to meet Santa along with his reindeer, and soon enough we will be decorating Christmas cookies!
“The holidays are the best time to be a kid because I love opening presents that are under the tree!” – Madison, age 4.
My favorite Holiday tradition that we have started with the children is Christmas Eve pajamas! I put together a Christmas Eve box that includes Christmas pj’s, popcorn and a new movie! My mother started this for me when I was a kid and I have carried it on with Madison and now Colton.
I love Gymboree for our Christmas pajamas because they are always so well made & the patterns are adorable! For Madison’s outfit we chose the Girls Reindeer 2-Piece Gymmies with the Reindeer Slippers and for Colton we chose the Snooze 2-Piece Gymmies.
What holiday traditions do you do with your family? Is it something that you started once you had kids or that you continued with your kids that you did when you were younger? Share in the comments, I love hearing what other people’s traditions are!
