Looking for your next travel adventure? Symphony of the Seas, the largest cruise ship in the world is a must! A few weeks ago we joined Royal Caribbean to set sail on Symphony of the Seas for the inaugural sail and naming ceremony! It was the time of our life, and made for the perfect girls trip.

Why Royal Caribbean? Searching for a cruise and looking at the different ships can seem overwhelming, but Royal Caribbean has something for everyone. From young to old, and from looking for a relaxing vacation to thrill seekers, Royal Caribbean offers a little bit of everything. The cabins are gorgeous and more spacious than I imagined, the onboard entertainment is amazing, the endless amount of activities, the food and the different excursions they offer! It is a win for your whole family!

Symphony of the Seas is the largest cruise ship in the world and is a ship like no other. The ship itself can hold 5500 guests, which includes its 2200 onboard staff. This was my first time sailing, so I had no idea what to expect. The ship has so much to do, that I often forgot that I was on a cruise ship. If you think that a cruise is not for you, I strongly suggest you to rethink.

Royal Caribbean makes it easy for you to board the ship with no worries with your handy dandy Royal Caribbean App. Weeks before your head out on your sail you can check in so you can prepare for your sail and get your sea pass ready for boarding. You are able to sign all of your waivers, book your excursions and shows, and making reservations the onboard restaurants.

I had no idea what to expect the day that we arrived at the new terminal A in Miami, but the process was made so easy for us. Airports stress me out, but this was the furthest thing from stressful. We were able to drop off our bags to be delivered to our rooms when they were ready and head onto the check in line, which was no wait at all. Everything was really organized and their was plenty of staff around to help you out with any questions.

Royal Caribbean promises to delight you with flow riders, zip-lining, automated bartenders (my favorite!), a Boardwalk filled with a carousel, Sugar Beach Candy Store, Johnny Rockets & Playmakers restaurant.

Want to visit Central Park? Don’t worry Symphony of the Seas has a Central Park for you, filled with over 20,000 plants and high end shopping for you to enjoy. We enjoyed exploring Central Park, and with all the greenery it was too pretty to not to spend time on! We ate dinner at the restaurant Chops on our last night on the ship, and enjoyed wine, steak and shrimp cocktail appetizers! The food and service was divine.

I have always imagined the cabins on board ships to be very small, because that is what I saw in movies. I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived to our cabin that it was spacious, with a king size bed that was actually two twins pushed together and a pull out bed. The bathroom was decent size, and our cabin also included a private balcony. The balcony gave us the best ocean view and was super relaxing to just sit out on.

The Symphony of the Seas offers suites as well, but my favorite was the Ultimate Family Suite. We were able to go and take a tour of the suite and it was every little kids dream! The suite is two floors and is very colorful with chalkboards, a fun swing, a popcorn machine and even a slide from the second floor to the first! The balcony featured a hot tub and a climbing net for the kiddos. The views were amazing!

The food… where do I begin about the food on the ship? If you wanted to spend your day eating… you could do just that.  There is plenty of food options to choose from, some that will come with your cruise and others that you can make reservations for as an add on. Our first stop was at the Windjammer which is a buffet and has pretty much everything that you could think of for food. It was delicious!

El Loco Fresh was a favorite of ours. It was buffet style that featured tacos, burritos, make your own nachos and more! It was delicious and seemed to be a hot item on the ship! We also fancied at the Solarium and enjoyed some pizza style buffet as well!

We dined at two of the specialty restaurants on the ship, and they really set the bar high. The first night we ate at a brand new restaurant to Symphony of the Seas, Hooked. Hooked is New England style dining, featuring seafood options and wonderful desserts. I enjoyed calamari for an appetizer, a lobster roll for my main course and a Boston Crème pie for dessert, so good!

Our Second night we dined at Chops which is located in Central Park. Chops is a traditional up-scale steakhouse and the food was wonderful. The experience itself was great, and the staff was extremely helpful and attentive. If you are looking for a good steak and some fabulous cheesecake, make your reservation at Chops.

I mentioned that Symphony of the Seas has something for everyone in your family on their cruise ship, but this is definitely my top reason of suggesting Royal Caribbean. There is plenty of activities and onboard shows that each person in your party will want to see. Your kiddos will definitely want to check out the many water slides, the Ultimate Abyss, Adventure Ocean, Laser tag, and so much more!

As for adults? You will definitely want to check out the shows! It was so hard for me to pick a favorite show, but it was a close call between Hairspray and Hiro. I had never seen Hairspray I was instantly in love with! I mean, it’s a classic! Hiro is an aqua show filled with flips, tricks and high dives. We were on the edge of our seats during the entire show! We also saw the show Flight which was really amazing, and it was the same cast from Hairspray, which made it super cool! If you love ice skating, you will have to head over to the 1977 ice skating show.

The adults will also love the adult only solarium, which has the most amazing views and relaxing beds!

Our sail with Royal Caribbean seemed to fly by within the blink of an eye, and just like that we were back in Miami. I am still in amazement of the show that Symphony of the Seas put on for us! Thank you Royal Caribbean for having us and making me fall in love with cruising and the sea. We will see you soon!
