Holidays Product Review

Gifting Creativity with Mattel Mega Bloks

November 26, 2018

This post is sponsored by Mattel, all opinions are my own.

Can you believe that the holiday season is upon us? Time is flying by and as busy as we are, it seems like everything happens within the blink of an eye. I love to start my Christmas shopping early to avoid rushing around last minute, especially for the kiddos and my nephews. The toys that Madison seems to ask for change immensely every year, so it’s nice for her to be at an age when she can really let us know what she wants. Colton on the other hand is 18 months and will love anything with wheels or something that he can build.

I love looking for new newest toys out there that help promote learning and using their imaginations. A must is getting toys that I know they will play with, and not just be used once and then start collecting dust. Small pieces are out these days as Colton will try to put anything small in his mouth, so unless it’s something Madison really wants and we think she will play with it independently in her room, it’s out.

We have always been a fan of the Mattel Mega Bloks because they blocks are the perfect size for little hands and they provide hours of fun. Madison’s 1st birthday we made sure to get her a big bag of the building blocks, and passed them down to Colton once he was born. You can honestly never go wrong with blocks! Mattel has some new products that are perfect for your kiddos this holiday season and I can’t wait for you to check them out!

Mega Bloks Building Basics Take-along Builder

This is perfect for the little builder in your life and all of the little adventures they will go on. I love the setup of the carrying case, as it looks like a little suitcase with wheels, with an easy-to-grip handle with their little hands. Inside of the case you will find the building blocks with a rolling wheelbase, making the options endless for your building! You can remove the removable plate off the front of the case and place it inside to make it easier for steady building.

Perfect for travel and on the go adventures because once you are done you can just store everything, close and you are off!

Mega Bloks First Builders Block Scooping Wagon

Colton is loving this scooping wagon for playing, picking up and even sitting in it! It is perfect for building and then for easy pick up you can just walk around and it’ll scoop right up!

Mega Bloks Sesame Street Let’s Build Sesame Street

How many of your kiddos are Sesame Street fans? We love Elmo & Abby in our house! Madison is in kindergarten and loves to learn and show us what she has learned. She says she wants to be a teacher when she grows up, so she practices with Colton as her student. These Mega Bloks are perfect for learning your ABC’s while building and working on their motor skills at the same time.

With 70, color blocks, what you can build is endless. Once they’ve mastered their ABC’s they can work on stacking the lettered blocks together that will spell out names like “Cookie Monster” or “Big Bird”. How about matching the Seasame Street characters with their favorite objects? So much fun! These blocks come with a storage bag, making for easy clean up and storage.

These items are easily available at Wal-Mart right in the Toy and collectibles aisle. Saturday mornings our trips to Wal-Mart happen, I can pick up everything I need in one place.

My kiddos love these Mattel Mega Bloks so much, and we will definitely be gifting to our nephews this holiday season. What set would your little one love the most?
