This post is sponsored by North States, but as always the opinions are 100% my own.
Can you believe that I am needing to talk about baby proofing our house? It feels like Colton was just born and I still have a newborn! He has quickly transformed into a little crawling machine, who is climbing up onto everything and has become very fast! We live in a ranch, and our kitchen has an entryway into the living room. The kitchen just also happens to be Colton’s favorite place to explore, whether it be to check out the front door and look outside or to play with the cat food dishes.
Safety is the main concern in our house, even though we live in a single-family home with a basement, there are always things to get into. We knew the first item we needed to baby proof the house would be a gate for this entryway. After searching the internet I came upon North States Baby, and all of the gates that they have to offer. With a little help from one of their reps, I was able to find the gate that would fit our home and family best, which was the Easy-Close Gate and an extension.
Once we received the gate and extension in the mail, my husband set it up and it was super easy to install and from start, to finish it took a total of 10 minutes. The gate pressure mounts easily by using tension knobs to secure the gate in place. Ideal for a variety of room openings or at the bottom of stairs measuring 28 to 38.5 inches wide with two extensions included and is 29 inches high. You can extend this gate to 62.25” with extensions that are sold separately. The crisp white finish of this gate has a sleek look, while its heavy-duty steel construction is built to last.
The gate swings open both ways for added convenience and offer a triple locking system for peace of mind, especially with having two very active little ones. My four year old easily figured out how to open and close the gate securely so her little brother was not escaping into the kitchen.
I definitely recommend North States for your home and not only do they offer the Easy Close gate, but they also have a wide variety of safety gates and play yards to accommodate most openings in your home. It is always nice to find products that work well for inside and outdoor use.
